Who: For Webelos and
Bear Den Leaders.
Why: Webelos den
campouts serve to ease the transition of the Webelos Scout to Boy Scouts.
Webelos dens are encouraged to participate in joint
den-troop campouts. Webelos den leaders should attend this training before
conducting Webelos overnight camping with the boys and parents.
Designed
specifically for Webelos den leaders and their assistants, the Outdoor
Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders course teaches outdoor-related skills
through demonstration and hands-on practice.
This training features basic
camping skills, planning campouts, and finding resources, and is required
for the leader to earn the Webelos Den Leader Award Knot.

When: FRIDAY-SUNDAY, APRIL 25-27, 2008
New Leader Essentials:
Friday, 7:30-9:00 pm, Meninak Lodge
Followed by cracker barrel (Friday night campers welcome!)
Webelos Leader-Specific and Outdoor Leader Skills:
Check-in:
Saturday, 7:00 am at Handicraft Pavilion. Saturday, 7:30 am
- 10:00
pm and Sunday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (Saturday night camping
required)
Cost: $25.00 . Includes
all course materials plus 5 meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner on Saturday,
breakfast & lunch on Sunday) and cracker barrels. Payment due upon arrival.
