Roundtable Notes

Congratulations To:

Bran Patterson, Field
Director, Suwannee Valley Service Team (of which Alachua District is
a part), for his promotion to Director of Support Services. He will
now have primary oversight of all the council activities including
summer camps.

work on the charters and getting them in on time! Almost all
units took advantage of the online process which greatly improved
accuracy. Congratulations!

The District Recognition Dinner is
January 24th. This is a chance to recognize your unit
leaders. All adults are invited. Contact Amy Keller at (c) 317-6121,

campmom84@aol.com. Tickets, $10 ea, will be available for sale at
Roundtable.

Need more training? Plans are being
made for more leader specific training in the winter. Give your input to
Wayne McCormack at (h) 374-7123 or email
mccormac@pathology.ufl.edu.

The next training opportunity is
University of Scouting on
Saturday January 26th in Orange Park (south of
Jacksonville). Many unique training classes are offered. Details are
available on the council web page.

Going to Woodbadge training in
February? Need to register now!
·
Olustee is
February 15-17. As a reminder, this year there will be no camping
allowed in the traditional camping area, nor will there be North
Florida representation (including no patches) at the campsite area.
·
Please use the online advancement
program to do a unit audit and make sure all your active Scouts are
registered.

sign ups need to be completed. It is requested that all presentations be
complete by April 30, 2008.

is January 26th. Information can be

All units
now have both a unit account
and a unit registration account
at the Council Service Center. Money in the registration account can
only be spent on registration. Money in the unit account cannot be spent
on registration. Only registered unit leaders can authorize transfers
from the registration account to the other. A unit registration account
will have an “R” on the receipt after the unit number.

Pinewood Derby will be March 15th
at a Jim Douglas Chevrolet in High Springs. Please make sure that
your Cubs that advance are aware of Council Pinewood Derby rule
requirements.

Webelos contacted troops to schedule visits? Do you know which
ones are crossing over? Contact Gary or Webelos to Scouts
Transition Chair, Mike Grantham at (h) 377-1870 for more
assistance and the names of Cubs crossing over (and the troops to
which they are crossing).
